Rufous Hummingbird seen using the feeder
Someone reported seeing the Rufous Hummingbird about 3:35 p.m. using the feeder a man in exhibition put out! It has found the feeder and is using it - very promising. More soon!

Rufous Hummingbird checks in February 1
On February 1 Joseph DiCostanzo saw the Rufous Hummingbird near the planetarium entrance. It continues to welcome visitors! Temperature here 2:50 p.m. 62 degrees. New York's early summer!
Rufous Hummingbird-present through January
On January 23 Lila Fried reported the Rufous Hummingbird near the planetarium entrace of the American Museum of Natural History. Peter Capainolo, scientific assistant in Ornithology at the musuem saw the Rufous Hummingbird January 30 and Lydia Thomas, a volunteer in the Great Gull Island office reported the bird on Janury 31. The temperature today (Feb 1, 2012) is 61 degrees (1:52 pm)
